Year-Long Resistance Training Program

Principles of Resistance Training and Conditioning

During my Fall 2024 semester, I had a project in which I worked with a partner and created a year-long resistance training program for a High School Girl's Soccer Team. 

Reflection

This project helped me to grow a friendship with one of my classmates as well as think through an entire year-long resistance training program. I had to use all of the material about resistance training we were taught in that class. As a team my partner and I had to critically think about the length of the seasons, amount of the practices, and length of the practices. We had to critically think about the sets, reps, and overall volume of the workouts. Overall, this project helped me gain a better understanding of creating a resistance training program. This project also allowed me to grow in my communication and teamwork skills.
